Trump leads the opinion polls: it has an influence on Denmark
The last few months, we have been introduced to opinions and values from Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. The democrat Hillary Clinton wants to equalize the American society, and to support the health insurance “Obamacare”. On the other hand, we have the republic Donald Trump. He wants to strength the internal trading. He’s also supporting the permission to carry weapons.
Lately, there have been dead heat between the two running candidates, even though Hillary was leading markedly in the beginning. You can see on the percent from the opinion polls from June 2015, that Hillary was leading with 53,3% against Trumps 33,7%. Another opinion poll from 1st November 2016 shows, that Trump leads with 46% of the votes versus Hillarys 45%. The developments has changed drastically this year.
Millions of Americans has received a letter that tells that the price of the health insurance will become 22% higher next year.
Even though Obamacare insured the hairdresser Mikell Baughman and her family, who lives in Utah, they had to pay 9500 USD to give birth to their child. The insurance only covered a little part of the expense, and with Hillary as president, it will only get higher. That made Mikell Baughman vote for Donald Trump, she says to DR news.
Donald Trump has won many supporters by his opinions to Muslims. He insist to prevent Muslims from arriving to America. He believe that he can abolish terrorism in USA by demanding that.
What is it going to mean to Denmark, if people like Mikell Baughman votes for Donald Trump? If Trump wins, he will create unsteadiness in the European economy. Trump is ready to reduce the co-operation with EU to work more together with Putin and Russia. That will make our alliance with USA weaker.
On the other hand, if Clinton wins, it will mean “business as usual” and we can breathe with relief says Erik Bjørsted, who is chief economist in the labour movements trade committee, to TV2 business.
The Danes will only notice a different if it’s Donald Trump, who wins the election.
The world was convinced, that USA would continue in the same directions as Obama was heading. Until Trump showed up as a realistic opportunity to become the next president.
