9th November: A day were walls fall and rise 

Sunday the 13th august 1961 east German workers began to build a wall across East- and West Berlin. It became an ultimate symbol for the Cold War. But on the 9th November 1989 the wall was destroyed and everyone were able to cross the line again. Every year on the 9th November people all over the world have been celebrating this day, because this event came, as a bright and shining star on a totally black sky.

The 9th November
would always have been remembered, as the day where the big wall in Berlin fell, and the day were it was possible to move across the borders again as you wished. Until today: Today Donald Trump won the American election and marked this day to be the day, were a businessman with no political background walked right into The White House.

It is a huge paradox
that on the same day as a nation gets their freedom, by getting rid of a wall, Donald Trump wins the power. It means that if he keeps his promise, this will be the day were a between US and Mexico will be built. So today is a day to celebrate the “fall of the wall” in Berlin back in 1989, but on the other hand,  it’s a day were the visions of a new wall between USA and Mexico will begin to be built.

There will not only be a physical wall of concrete.
The wall will be a symbol of separation between two nations. It will be a symbol of a wish from the Americas side, to shut down the connection with Mexicans.

The wall in Germany fell after 28 years, let’s see how long this wall will live, and if it’s even going to happen.

The 9th November is a day to remember. It’s a day that will be remembered forever. A day that will never be forgotten
