The world will be unsafe with trump as president
The American election
is currently running, but does it have any importance for little Denmark? – And is it even relevant to follow the election? According to Erik Buhl, mayor in Varde (V), does the election have a meaning on our security, safety and trading across the country lines.
If you consider,
that USA is the strongest nation in the world, and that we right now is in a close co-operation with them, will the politics in America have big influence in our every day life in Denmark. Erik Buhl explains, that more people are following the election than usual, because there is a huge difference between the two candidates. People have never experienced so markedly different opinions as Trump has.
If Erik Buhl
had to describe witch differences there would be, if Trump wins the election, he think the world will be a more unsafe place to live. Countries will get more and more individual and will forget about the social community. The difference between rich and poor in USA will get bigger. The thing Buhl is most worried about is the many discriminatory declarations from Trump about other humans.
On the other hand,
if Hillary Clinton wins, will our co-operation with USA continue in a good way. And our fundamental human nature will still look a lot like ours, Erik Buhl is concluding.
According to the test taken by 40 students from Frøstruphave Efterskole, you can see that most of young Danes doesn’t follow the election in USA so much. But young people in USA is following the election close. That includes Mie Jungclaus, exchange student in Mission, Texas.
On the election day,
Mie explains that they hear a lot about it in the medias, but generally it is a topic that people mostly avoid. People are very annoyed about this years election, and most people do not have any interest to vote. “I hear people around here say, that they hate Trump, and votes for Hillary” she says. They had to write a persuasive essay on Mie Jungclaus’ high school about one of the candidates, and argue why and why not to vote for Hillary or Trump.
